Executive Member (2006- ) responsible for talent spotting; Horton Hospital (Banbury) Campaign - lobbying and local surveying which has contributed to a rethink on the proposed closures
Streatham Conservative Association (SCA)
Chairman (2002-2005) increased membership by 1/3, raising enough money in 2005 to pay for the subsequent local election campaign
Deputy Chairman Finance (2002) tightened budgetary controls with new accounting procedures
Deputy Chairman Political (1999-2002) wrote and implemented a 5 year political development plan; organising all political activity in the Constituency
General Election Agent for SCA 2001 and 2005 – liaising with the press, writing literature, coordination of all deliveries and canvassing (and taking an active part), fundraising (including approaching high net worth individuals for donations, and organising and hosting events)
Treasurer, South London Business Club (1998-2001) - raising funds to employ an Agent; connecting with the local business community
Local Council Candidate Lambeth Borough Council 1998, 1999 (local by-election) and 2002; Edinburgh Unitary Authority 1994; member of the Conservative Group on Lambeth Council involved in policy formulation, influencing decision making for Streatham Constituency
GENEVA / PYIIA (1997-) – Environment whip for legislative work on the London Act (1999) and the Countryside and Rights of Way Act (2000); coordinating research and drafting; arranging meetings
Conservative Party Human Rights Commission (2006-) – monitoring and reporting on Human Rights in Tibet; I organise the Commission’s campaigns against human trafficking and the “Stop Slavery Full Stop!” campaign
