A beautiful handmade fused glass wave with white and yellow delicate flowers. Before I make the wave I fire the murrini flat and then hand draw the flower stems. This is then fired with the pieces of glass in situ. Once fired I quality check to make sure every thing is ok and then it goes back into the kiln for the final firing. The final firing is the slumping firing, this is where the glass bends due to the heat on a ceramic former to create the desired shape. From start to finish this piece will have been in the kiln for nearly 48 hours in 2 separate firings.
